Prayers Answered!

So just a little recap on where my life has been since January! Well I am in the senior year and I am doing my student teaching. In this state there has been severe budget issues in the public school system and many districts that do not plan on hiring new teachers next year. I have always imagined myself graduating and moving home and starting teaching but God has a different plan for me and I am jumping for joy!

In February I attended the Education Career Fair at my university. I honestly went in thinking that I would use these interviews as practice for my home district's job fair the following weekend. I walked in was overwhelmed how many of the school districts knew who I was. I am one of two students graduating in May with a Bachelor's in Special Education-Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavior Disabilities and Elementary Education. That day I interviewed with 9 different school districts!

During my interview with Richland One I really felt that this was a potential spot for me. Chris and I talked it over and we debated and we decided to wait to hear back. That following week I got emails from two different individuals from the district about potential job offers. I continued to wait... Yesterday I received a teaching contract! The district also will pay for my Master's after my first year teaching! What a blessing!

I can't wait to see what is in store for Chris and I and God's plans! We are moving to Columbia this summer and couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out!

sometimes things to go the way you thought they would but often you end up with even better opportunities!
when i finish my teaching degree (in two years) i plan to just go with the flow and see where i end up... no matter where it is im guaranteed to experience something new and good or bad atleast i will be able to say i gave new things a try :)
    good luck with everything!
